 Aiden Markram is a professional cricketer from South Africa, who was born on October 4, 1994, in Centurion, South Africa. He is a right-handed opening batsman and occasional leg-break bowler. Markram is considered one of the most promising young talents in South African cricket.Markram made his first-class debut for Northerns in 2014 and was soon selected to represent South Africa at the Under-19 World Cup in 2014. He made his international debut for the Proteas in a test match against Bangladesh in September 2017. In his second test match, he scored his maiden century against Bangladesh and was awarded the man of the match.Markram's performances in domestic cricket earned him a spot in South Africa's Test squad in 2017, and he quickly established himself as a regular member of the team.
