Faf du Plessis

 Faf du Plessis is a former professional cricketer from South Africa. He was born on July 13, 1984, in Pretoria, South Africa. Du Plessis was a right-handed middle-order batsman and occasional leg-spin bowler.Du Plessis made his debut for the South African cricket team in January 2011 against India. He became a regular member of the team in all formats of the game and was appointed as the captain of the South African T20I team in 2012. He later went on to captain the South African Test team as well.Du Plessis played in several domestic T20 leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he represented teams like Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants. He also played for South African domestic teams like Titans and Dolphins.Du Plessis achieved several milestones in his career, including scoring his maiden Test century against Australia in Adelaide in 2012. He was also instrumental in leading South Africa to the semi-finals of the 2014 T20 World Cup and the 2015 Cricket World Cup.Du Plessis announced his retirement from international cricket in February 2021. He remains one of the most successful South African captains in recent times and is remembered for his leadership, temperament, and ability to perform in pressure situations.
