Gerald Coetzee

 Gerald Coetzee is a South African cricketer who was born on October 23, 2000, in Bloemfontein, South Africa. He is a right-arm fast bowler and a right-handed batsman.Coetzee made his debut in first-class cricket in the 2018-19 season for Free State. He impressed in his debut match against Eastern Province, taking five wickets in the first innings. He has since become a regular member of the Free State team and has also played for the Knights in domestic cricket.Coetzee was named in South Africa's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was one of the standout performers for South Africa in the tournament, taking 8 wickets in 6 matches, including a 4-wicket haul against Afghanistan.In August 2021, Coetzee was named in South Africa's T20I squad for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut in the third match of the series, taking 2 wickets and scoring 15 runs in a losing cause.Coetzee is considered to be a promising fast bowler and has already caught the attention of many in South African cricket circles.
