Jacob Oram

Jacob Oram is a former New Zealand cricketer who is known for his all-round abilities as a fast-medium pace bowler and a middle-order batsman. He was born on July 28, 1978, in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Oram was known for his tall stature and his ability to generate steep bounce from the pitch, which made him a difficult bowler to face. Oram made his international debut for New Zealand in 2001 and represented the national team in all three formats of the game: test matches, one-day internationals ODIs, and Twenty20 T20 matches. He was particularly known for his performances in limited-overs cricket, where he was an integral part of New Zealand's ODI and T20 teams. Oram was known for his big-hitting ability with the bat, often providing crucial runs down the order, and his effective medium-fast bowling. One of Oram's notable achievements was being a part of the New Zealand team that reached the semi-finals of the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup. He was known for his powerful hitting and his ability to strike the ball long distances, which made him a valuable asset in the limited-overs formats. Oram was also known for his fielding skills, particularly his catching ability, and was considered one of the best fielders in New Zealand cricket.
