Joe Root

 Joe Root is a professional cricketer from England, born on December 30, 1990, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional off-spin bowler who currently serves as the captain of the England Test team.Root made his Test debut for England in December 2012 against India, and since then, he has established himself as one of the best batsmen in the world. He has an excellent Test batting average of over 50 and has scored more than 8,500 runs in his Test career, including 22 centuries.Apart from Test cricket, Root has also represented England in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He has also played domestic cricket for Yorkshire in the English County Championship and the T20 Blast.In addition to his batting skills, Root is also known for his leadership qualities, having taken over the England Test captaincy from Alastair Cook in 2017. Under his leadership, England has had some notable victories, including a 3-0 Test series win over Sri Lanka in 2018 and a 3-1 series win against South Africa in 2020.
