Martin Guptill
Martin Guptill is a professional cricketer from New Zealand. He is a right-handed batsman known for his explosive style of play and powerful hitting. Guptill is considered one of the best opening batsmen in the world and has represented New Zealand in all three formats of the game: Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 (T20) matches. Guptill was born on September 30, 1986, in Auckland, New Zealand. He made his international debut for New Zealand in an ODI against the West Indies in 2009. He has since then become a key player in the New Zealand cricket team and has achieved several records and milestones throughout his career.One of Guptill's most memorable moments came during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he scored a blistering 237 not out against the West Indies in the quarterfinals, which remains the highest individual score in a World Cup match. He has also been successful in T20 cricket, holding the record for the highest individual score in T20 internationals with a score of 105 not out against South Africa in 2012.Guptill has played for various domestic teams in New Zealand, including Auckland, Northern Districts, and Derbyshire in England's county cricket.
