Ross Taylor


Ross Taylor is a former cricketer from New Zealand who is considered one of the greatest batsmen to have represented the country. He was born on March 8, 1984, in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Taylor is known for his aggressive and powerful batting style, as well as his versatility in all formats of the game. Taylor made his international debut for New Zealand in 2006 in an ODI against the West Indies, and he went on to have a highly successful career spanning over a decade. He has represented New Zealand in all three formats of the game: Test matches, One Day Internationals ODIs, and Twenty20 T20 matches. Taylor has been particularly successful in ODIs, where he holds numerous records for New Zealand. One of Taylor's most notable achievements is being the leading run-scorer for New Zealand in Test matches, ODIs, and T20s. He has also scored the most centuries 100 or more runs in a single innings  for New Zealand in ODIs and T20s. Taylor has been a consistent performer for New Zealand and has played a crucial role in the team's success over the years. In addition to his batting prowess, Taylor has also served as the captain of the New Zealand cricket team in all three formats. Under his leadership, New Zealand achieved several significant milestones, including winning their first-ever Test series against Australia in 2019 and reaching the final of the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
